I support families during the first 12 weeks after welcoming a new baby, so that family members can experience more joy, more confidence, and more peace
As a postpartum doula I can...
- provide non-medical, physical, emotional, educational and family support after the birth of your baby
- assist you with self-care recovery measures
- provide information and education about baby care
- assist you in caring for and feeding your new baby
- offer basic lactation education and support
- assist your family with adjusting to new roles
- pick up items from the pharmacy or store
- offer household support such as preparing occasional light meals, sweeping, grocery shopping, laundry, tidying and dish-washing so you can nap, shower, or attend to other self-care tasks
- give foot rubs
- prepare a hot pack or draw a bath
It was so helpful to have your support and presence! I didn’t anticipate how much I’d look forward to your visits each week. I found it so helpful to have you work with our family and was impressed with how you integrated so quickly. You showed the perfect balance of asking what we needed and taking initiative - the postpartum period is hard enough and knowing you’d rummage in the fridge, deal with the dirty laundry, and not blink at me in tears was just what I needed! Thank you!
